Newport gunman Darren Williams' son Jack found dead
A teenager has been found dead in woods almost six weeks after his father shot his mother in a hair salon.
The body of Jack Williams, 16, was discovered in Newport after he was reported missing on Monday.
His father, Darren Williams, had also been found dead in woodland as police searched for him after he shot his estranged wife in August.
Jack's mother Rachel, 39, who recently left hospital, was said to be devastated by her son's death.
A family spokesman said Jack found it hard to come to terms with the events.
Jack, a former pupil at Newport High School, had been staying with his father's sister while his mother was in hospital.

She came out of hospital at the weekend and Jack was reported missing on Monday evening.
Police later discovered Jack's body.
Bill Smillie, Darren Williams' stepfather, told BBC Wales that the teenager was found in Brynglas Woods near where some of his father's ashes were spread by Jack.
Mr Williams, 46, had been found dead in woods further along the M4 motorway near Rogerstone, on Friday, 19 August. Earlier in the day he had burst into the Carol-Ann Hair Salon in Malpas, Newport, where his estranged wife worked.
He opened fire with a double-barrelled shotgun, wounding Mrs Williams, who needed a 10-hour operation to save her left leg.
Connie Evans, a 92-year-old widow, and another elderly customer were also wounded.
The family spokesman said: "He was a sensitive young man - he wasn't coping with things.
"His mother was shot and his dad found hanged, all within a couple of hours.
"Now Rachel is going through hell all over again. She is aware that Jack was very, very upset by the whole business."
In a statement, Newport High School said: "Our thoughts are very much with Jack's family at this time. The entire school community has been affected by this tragic event.
"Staff are now working closely with the educational psychology team and the Samaritans to support those students who are grieving for a lost friend."
Mrs Williams has undergone extensive reconstructive surgery at Morriston Hospital in Swansea over the past month.
While she was recovering in hospital, she said: "I have no doubt he came to kill me."
Jack was the couple's only child, and his mother has a son from a previous relationship.
His parents had split up weeks before the shooting and put their family home up for sale.
The Gwent coroner confirmed that Jack was found dead in the woods. Gwent Police confirmed they were investigating Jack's death but said there were no suspicious circumstances.
An inquest is due to be opened after a post-mortem examination is carried out.
