Friends of a 20-year-old man are to take part in a "slow car cruise" through the streets of Abergavenny a week after he died in a crash.

The tribute to Dale Williams has been organised on the social networking site Facebook.

Mr Williams from Llanover died following a collision on the A465 near Pandy on 27 August.

Gwent Police said they were aware of the tribute.

Organisers of the cruise said friends were meeting at the town's bus station at 2000 BST.

In a statement his family said Mr Williams was "a son to be proud of and a brother to be adored."

They added: "He was well loved by all his family and friends.

"He lived life to the full, very fun loving and dearly loved by all he knew."

James Crees, who has organised Friday's car cruise, said: "He was a very popular guy, down to earth and he always showed respect to everyone."
