The RNLI has released a picture of a crew rescuing a family from deep mud in Conwy.

Two children and one adult, from the Manchester area, became stuck on Conwy Quay at about 18:20 BST on Saturday.

They were spotted by a passing lifeboat crew member.

An RNLI spokesman said the family was muddy but "none the worse for their ordeal". He said the rescue crew returned to station 30 minutes later for a "good hosing down".
