Fire at fish and chip shop in Llanberis The shop was left gutted by the blaze

A fish and chip shop in Gwynedd has been seriously damaged by fire.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service sent two engines from Bangor and two from Caernarfon to the blaze in Llanberis at 09:37 BST on Sunday.

Two crews were still at the scene at 14:45 BST, although the fire is believed to be out.

A North Wales Police spokesman said the force was called to control traffic. Nobody is thought to have been injured in the fire.
