Man in hospital after A499 crash near Pwllheli

A man has been taken to hospital with suspected spinal injuries following an accident on the A499 in Gwynedd late on Monday night.

Fire fighters were called to the collision involving two vehicles near the Bryn Beryl Hospital near Pwllheli.

One of the vehicles caught fire during the incident.

One person was checked and sent home, but the other was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, North Wales Fire Service said.
