Two members of the teaching staff at a Gwynedd secondary school who were temporarily suspended following a complaint have been allowed to return to their posts.

The pair were suspended from Ysgol Brynrefail in Llanrug, near Caernarfon, in December.

A Gwynedd council spokesperson confirmed an investigation into one member of staff had now been completed.

The other teacher was allowed to return to work previously.

The council spokesperson said: "We can confirm that the second formal investigation into a complaint against the conduct of a member of staff at Ysgol Brynrefail has been completed and that there is no reason for the suspension to continue.

"In accordance with the procedures for dealing with matters of this kind, the school governors are now working with the local authority to formally complete the process."

The complaint did not relate to child protection issues.
