Warning on door-to-door fish sellers in Gwynedd

People in Gwynedd are being warned to beware of fish sellers trying to sell produce to them in their homes.

Trading standards and North Wales Police said they had had a number of reports of door-to-door sellers.

Officers said buyers had no way of knowing if sellers were registered food operators or if the fish had been stored correctly and were safe to eat.

They urged the public to check their mobile seller was registered or to buy fish from reputable shops or stalls.
