Eleven children and three teachers have escaped unhurt from a fire which destroyed a minibus on the A55 on Anglesey.

Fire crews from Holyhead and Rhosneigr were called to the scene on the westbound carriageway near Llangefni at 11:25 GMT.

Police closed the road for a time while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service says the cause remains unknown.
