Man, 60, rescued after Holyhead marina fall

A man was taken to hospital suffering from severe hypothermia after falling into Holyhead marina early on Sunday.

Holyhead coastguard said it was thought the man, aged 60, was making his way to a boat at around 02:00 GMT.

Two members of the town's RNLI lifeboat crew happened to be passing and helped with the rescue, as did three members of the coastguard team that was called.

The man was taken Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, where his condition was described as life threatening.
