Driver Louis Barker, 19, dies in two-car crash in Corris

A teenager has died after the car he was driving collided with another, seriously injuring the driver.

Louis Barker, 19, from Machynlleth, Powys, was killed when his silver Ford Fiesta and a black Ford Focus crashed on the A487 in Corris, Gwynedd, on Monday.

College student Mr Barker died at the scene, North Wales Police said.

The 53-year-old woman who was driving the other car suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened at 17:35 GMT and police are appealing for witnesses to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
