Gwynedd stabbing: Deiniolen attack and man and woman

Detectives in Gwynedd are appealing for witnesses after a suspected double stabbing of a man and woman.

North Wales Police said the pair were attacked in Deiniolen early on Saturday morning.

Officers were called called to a property on the Hafod Oleu estate at around 04:40 BST and a man and woman were taken to hospital.

Three local men were arrested and have since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police said they believed the wounds had been inflicted with a knife.

Ch Insp Iestyn Davies said: "I must stress that incidents of this nature are extremely rare in Deiniolen."

He added: "We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident on the estate to contact police on 101.
