Snowdon ridge fall walker, 68, airlifted to hospital

A walker has been airlifted to hospital by helicopter after she fell on a narrow ridge on Snowdon.

The woman, 68, was among a party of 11 walkers on Crib Goch on Sunday afternoon when she fell a few metres and banged her head.

Due to low cloud, four members of the Llanberis mountain rescue team had to stretcher the woman to where the helicopter could reach her.

She was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
