Man injured at Abersoch harbour after jumping 30 ft

A man in his 20s has been injured after apparently leaping from a bridge into shallow water.

He reportedly jumped around 30 ft (9m) from a wall at Abersoch harbour, Gwynedd, at around 02:00 BST on Monday.

Two friends pulled the injured man unconscious from the water and the RNLI winched him on to a nearby road.

A Sea King helicopter from RAF Valley on Anglesey flew the man to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor suffering from leg and chest injuries.
