Man, 54, dies in hospital after attack near Abergele pub

A man, 54, has died following an attack outside a pub in Abergele in Conwy.

North Wales Police say the assault outside the Pen-y-Bont pub happened on Thursday night but it was not reported to them until Saturday morning.

Two local people, a man and woman, arrested on suspicion of assault continue to be questioned by police.

Officers want to hear from any witnesses to the attack at around 22:30 BST.

The force said anyone with information should contact the police on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
