Conwy fire: Woman dies after blaze in Berry Street
A woman who was rescued from a fire at a flat in Conwy town centre has died, police say.
The cause of the blaze in the first-floor flat in Berry Street on Friday afternoon was investigated but not suspicious.
The woman, who was in her early 30s, had been seriously ill at a hospital intensive care unit.
A 36-year-old man escaped from the fire and received treatment for smoke inhalation.
The owner of a nearby commercial premises who saw the smoke and flames raised the alarm at 17:18 GMT on Friday.
Fire crews from Conwy and Llandudno were sent to tackle the blaze.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
"The fire investigation revealed that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire."
