Snowdonia walkers without map rescued by RAF helicopter
Moel Siabod is an isolated peak above Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig
Two walkers who did not take a map with them on a Snowdonia peak were rescued by helicopter after straying onto a steep, snow-covered slope.
The 28-year-old man and woman, 25, from south east England, were on the last day of a walking holiday when they took the wrong route on Moel Siabod.
Three members of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue team went to their aid before alerting the search and rescue helicopter from RAF Valley on Anglesey.
The pair were unharmed.
Chris Lloyd, of the Ogwen Valley team, said: "When they realised their predicament they called for assistance - a very good decision."
