Flat fire at Rhiw Road, Colwyn Bay: Two suffer smoke inhalation

An investigation is taking place into the cause of a fire which badly damaged a flat in Colwyn Bay.

Two people were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation at the scene of the blaze in Rhiw Road.

Firefighters were alerted at 22:09 GMT on Saturday and two crews from Colwyn Bay and one from Llandudno attended, wearing breathing apparatus to fight the flames.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said there was fire and smoke damage.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but is being investigated, said a spokesperson.
