Anglesey petrol station stabbings: Man in court

A 55-year-old man has appeared in court in Holyhead after a man and a woman were stabbed at an Anglesey petrol station.

Keith Williams was remanded in custody by magistrates, charged with attempted murder and inflicting grievous bodily harm.

The man and woman, both in their 50s, were attacked in the forecourt of Ty'n Lon garage at Llanfairpwll on Tuesday.

Mr Williams will now appear at Caernarfon Crown Court next week.

The incident happened at about 22:00 BST on Tuesday.

The male victim suffered stab wounds to his neck and remains in a stable condition at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

The woman sustained a chest injury in the incident, but was later released from hospital after treatment.
