An official Olympic Celebration Day has been held at Conwy county with live music and entertainment.

Colwyn Bay's Eirias Park has been designated as a community live site for the Olympic Games.

Friday's opening free event saw the park split into activity zones including an outdoor water slide and inflatable assault course.

It was followed by an evening concert featuring Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud from Britain's Got Talent.

The stadium was dressed in official Olympic branding for the celebration day, and the London 2012 opening ceremony was shown on a giant screen in the stadium.

An audience of 15,000 people was expected in Colwyn Bay.

Friday's concert also featured Mike Peters of the Alarm and Big Country and Sophie Evans from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Wizard of Oz.

The Access All Eirias show also includes a concert on Saturday with Olly Murs and Pixie Lott.

Meanwhile, the Red Arrows flew south to Cardiff from RAF Valley, Anglesey, from 16:00 BST on Friday as part of the celebrations.
