Police appeal over hiker Christopher Whitfield missing in Snowdonia
Christopher Whitfield was last seen on Sunday morning
Police are appealing for help in tracing a 42-year-old Birmingham man who is believed to be missing in Snowdonia.
Christopher Whitfield left his parents' home in Shropshire on Sunday morning to go hill walking.
He has not been in contact with family or friends since and police have found his dark blue Porsche in a lay-by close to Tryfan in the Ogwen Valley.
He is 5ft 10in (1.77m) tall, slim and has grey, thinning hair.
An RAF helicopter and mountain rescue teams were involved in the search for Mr Whitfield after police were alerted on Wednesday.
"Christopher Whitfield is a fit and healthy man and he would have been appropriately dressed for conditions, although at this stage we do not now exactly what he was wearing," said Pc Mark Howell-Walmsley from North Wales Police.
"He is a regular visitor to the area and often stays in the Bryn Tyrch Hotel in Capel Curig where he had booked to stay this week.
"If anyone has seen him either by his Porsche, on the mountains or in the area of the hotel I would ask they make immediate contact with police," he added.
Anyone with information is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
