Body of woman is found in a flat in Cemaes Bay on Anglesey

Police have discovered the body of a woman at a flat at Cemaes Bay on Anglesey.

Officers, called to the High Street location at 11:19 BST on Tuesday, said there were no suspicious circumstances.

The immediate area was cordoned off due to concern there might be a gas leak. There was no leak but officers found evidence of a small fire in the flat.

Inspector Guy Blackwell of North Wales Police said it was a "tragic incident".

"There is no suspicious circumstances and a joint police and fire investigation is underway to determine the cause," he said.

The north west Wales coroner will be informed.
