Two young women die as car hits wall in Llanrug, Gwynedd

The crash happened at about 06:00 GMT on the A4086 Llanberis road, close to the Glyntwrog Inn in Llanrug

Two young women have died after the car they were in hit a wall early on New Year's Day, say North Wales Police.

The crash happened at about 06:00 GMT on the A4086 Llanberis road, near the Glyntwrog Inn in Llanrug, near Caernarfon.

Police say both the driver and passenger in the silver Vauxhall Corsa died at the scene.

Both women are from the Gwynedd area, and police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

The north west Wales coroner has also been informed.
