Adrift boy, 12, rescued by Beaumaris lifeboat crew

A lifeboat crew on Anglesey has rescued a 12-year-old boy, who was adrift with engine failure on a boat.

The volunteer crew at Beaumaris lifeboat station were called out at 1106 BST after the boy became adrift at Abermenai.

Two crew members entered the water to reach the boy, who was transferred to the lifeboat.

With the help of Llandwrog coastguard, the 13ft (4m) dory was towed back to shore.
