A woman has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life after two children were rescued from a burning house.
Neighbours helped a girl aged 10 and a seven-year-old boy from the fire in Ruabon shortly after 05:00 BST on Wednesday.
North Wales Police said a 30-year-old local woman is due to appear before magistrates in the town on Friday.
A joint investigation with the fire service has been launched.
The children were taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital as a precaution after suffering from slight smoke inhalation.
Neighbouring houses in Wynn Avenue were evacuated but North Wales Fire crews stopped the blaze spreading any further.
