Community art works could be used to brighten up one of the routes to Wrexham's the 200-year-old Pontcysyllte aqueduct.

They would be placed on a fence at the former Flexys chemicals site.

Wrexham councillors are being urged to approve the idea put forward by the authority's heritage team.

New public signs and local information would also be installed along the path between Trevor Wharf and Wimbourne Gate car park in Cefn Mawr.
