A55 lane shut for days after fatal Rhuallt Hill crash

A lane on a major road across north Wales will be closed for the next few days following a fatal crash.

Gary Ratcliffe, 41, from Manchester, died in the one-car crash on the A55 at Rhuallt Hill, Denbighshire, on Sunday.

A second man suffered minor injuries in the incident, which happened at about 17:30 BST.

Sgt Jane Thomas from North Wales Police said drivers should find an alternative route while repairs are carried out. Witnesses should call 101.

The westbound lane is one of two on the A55 expressway between Tremeirchion and St Asaph. Traffic Wales cameras show slow traffic on the sections between junctions 30 Traveller's Inn and Pant y Dulath.
