An overspend on part of the £90 million redevelopment of Glan Clwyd hospital has led to the suspension of a member of the project team.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board said work will not be affected by an investigation into the project's financial arrangements.
The project is due to be completed by 2018 at a cost of £90m.
A new emergency section is due to open in June to improve the flow of patients though the hospital in Denbighshire.
