James Rigby from Llangollen dies in road crash

A motorist has died after his vehicle left the road and hit a telegraph post.

James Rigby, 39, from Llangollen, died in Wrexham Maelor Hospital following the incident on the A539 in Penley, near Wrexham, at about 14:00 GMT on Sunday.

North Wales Police said the black Landrover Discovery vehicle he was driving left the road and collided with a telegraph post.

The force has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
