Woman, 18, dies after road crash in Bodelwyddan

An 18-year-old woman has died following a road crash in Denbighshire.

The woman, a pedestrian, died after a collision on Abergele Road, Bodelwyddan, involving a red Mercedes Box van and a white Vauxhall Corsa at 08:15 GMT on Wednesday.

The van driver was arrested and the Corsa driver suffered serious injuries.

Emergency services are at the scene and motorists are asked to use alternative routes. Police have appealed for witnesses to call 101.

The 18-year-old local woman died at the scene, and her family has been informed.

The Corsa driver's injuries are described as serious but not life threatening.
