Tributes to Didier Chupeau killed in A55 Northop Hall crash

Tributes have been paid to a father-of-three who died in a crash on the A55 in Flintshire last week.

Didier Chupeau, 56, from Caergwrle near Wrexham, died after his car crashed into the back of a lorry in a layby.

Mr Chupeau, originally from France, was the former landlord of the Red Lion pub in Hope.

His partner Nerys said he was a "kind, gentle, good-hearted man who had a terrific sense of humour".

"He was the love of my life," she added.

Mr Chupeau, who also worked at the Royal Mail office in Chester, was said to be passionate about music and played for the City of Chester Brass Band.

The crash happened at Northop Hall at around 16:30 BST last Thursday.

Mr Chupeau was taken to Wrexham Maelor hospital where he later died.
