Operation Pallial: Police arrest man, 61, in Chester

A 61 year old man has been arrested in Chester by detectives investigating allegations of historical child abuse in north Wales care homes.

Officers attached to Operation Pallial arrested the man on suspicion of a number of serious sexual assaults.

They are alleged to have involved a boy aged from 12 between 1982 and 1985.

The Serious Organised Crime Agency said the arrest was the fourth made as part of Operation Pallial into recent allegations of historical abuse.
