Prestatyn fire: Melanie Smith denies five murders
Melanie Smith's trial is set to take place in April
A woman has denied murdering five members of the same family who were killed by a fire in a first-floor flat.
Melanie Jane Smith, 43, who lived in the flat below in Prestatyn, Denbighshire, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court by video link.
Lee-Anna Shiers, 20, her nephew Bailey, four, and niece Skye, two, died at the scene. Her 15-month-old son Charlie and partner Liam Timbrell, 23, were rescued but died later in hospital.
The accused was remanded in custody.
She also denied one count of making a threat to destroy or damage property by threatening to burn down a house in September.
The fire broke out at Maes y Groes, Prestatyn, on 19 October 2012.
Judge Merfyn Hughes QC remanded Ms Smith in custody until a pre-trial hearing on 18 March.
Her trial will take place in April on a date to be fixed.
