Pedestrian, 17, injured in New Year collision at Gwersyllt, Wrexham

A 17-year-old old pedestrian has suffered head and multiple injuries in a collision with a car in Wrexham early on New Year's Day, say police.

The collision, involving a white Volkswagen Polo, happened on Mold Road, Gwersyllt outside the national park entrance at 00:37 GMT.

The youth was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital where he is in a serious condition.
