Catherine Gowing: Appeal over Clive Sharpe's car movements
Police are appealing for information about a car belonging to a man charged with the murder of missing vet Catherine Gowing.
Officers want to trace the movements of Clive Sharpe's black Volvo S40 car, registration number AG58 JHE.
They are particularly interested in sightings close to Ms Gowing's home in New Brighton or anywhere in the Flintshire or Cheshire border areas.
Ms Gowing was last seen at Asda in Queensferry at 20:40 BST on 12 October.
Senior investigating officer DCI Mark Pierce from North Wales Police said specialist teams had carried out searches in a number of locations in north Wales.
"The search continues in a quarry and adjacent woodland in Alltami, near Mold, where Catherine's Renault Clio registration 00D 99970 was discovered last Friday.
"Those searches are assisted by crime scene investigators and conducted in a methodical and thorough way to ensure we take every opportunity which may help us to find Catherine."
DCI Pierce added he was very grateful for the assistance the local community had already provided, and would like to ask them for help again.
"I am now very keen to trace the movements of a vehicle owned and used by Clive Sharpe between Friday 12 October and Monday 15 October," he said.
"I am particularly interested in any sightings of this vehicle close to Catherine's home in New Brighton or in fact anywhere in the Flintshire or Cheshire border areas."
DCI Pierce said Ms Gowing's family remained in north Wales.
"Their strength and dignity have been an inspiration to us all and on their behalf I'd implore that if you have any information, no matter how insignificant you think it is, please contact the police."
Anyone with information is asked to ring the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
