Warrington man John Yates remanded on murder charge

A man has appeared before a special court charged with murdering his wife, whose body was found in a car boot.

John Yates, 57, from Warrington, is charged with the murder of wife, Barbara, 49, at an unknown location.

Police have said her body was found in the boot of a car outside a police building at St Asaph, Denbighshire on Wednesday.

Mr Yates was remanded in custody until Monday by the court in Llandudno.

In a three-minute court appearance, he spoke to confirm his name, age and address.

Peter Humphrey-Jones, prosecuting, did not outline the case but applied for it to be sent to Flintshire's Mold Crown Court on Monday.
