Norovirus closes more wards at Wrexham Maelor Hospital
Wrexham Maelor Hospital has closed five wards to new admissions and partially closed a further six after an outbreak of the norovirus sickness bug.
Officials at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (UHB), which manages the hospital, said 29 patients were suffering with diarrhoea and vomiting.
Not all have been diagnosed with the norovirus.
To stop the bug spreading to other areas, the UHB said it was taking a "rigorous" approach on admissions.
"So far this is working well," a spokeswoman said.
Earlier, the hospital had closed six wards to new admissions.
