Armed police deal with house incident in Buckley

Armed police and negotiators were called to house in Flintshire after reports a man with an air weapon was inside, refusing to leave.

The incident was ended three hours after police were called to the street in Buckley at 17:25 BST on Saturday.

North Wales Police said a man in his 40s is being questioned over allegations of assault and, possession of a firearm with intent to commit violence.

No one else was believed to be inside.

Police confirmed no-one was hurt in the incident.

Det Chief Insp Mark Pierce from North Wales Police said: "We our grateful to local residents and our partners in the ambulance and fire service for enabling such an effective response to be provided."
