IPCC not investigating Melanie Lakin death near Welshpool
The death of a motorcyclist near a police vehicle checkpoint in Powys will not be investigated by the police watchdog.
Melanie Lakin, 29, from Glascote, Tamworth, died in a collision on the A458 Llanfair Caereinion to Welshpool road on 1 June.
Dyfed-Powys Police voluntarily referred the case to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
But the IPCC said after assessing the information it would not be involved.
Dyfed-Powys Police said it was investigating the incident.
An IPCC spokesperson said: "The IPCC received a referral from Dyfed-Powys Police on 2 June 2014.
"Following an assessment of the information available, it was determined the investigation into this incident did not require IPCC involvement."
