Llandysul: Patricia Durrant's death now a murder inquiry

Police investigating the death of women, 65, in Ceredigion say it is now a murder inquiry.

The body of Patricia Anne Durrant was found in a property on Llandysul High Street on Monday.

Dyfed-Powys Police initially described the incident as a sudden death, and cordoned off the street.

The force said on Wednesday that a 59-year-old man in custody since the discovery has now been arrested on suspicion of murder.

An inquest into the death will be opened on Friday.

Police are appealing to people with information to contact them on 101.

Officers said they were grateful to the community for their co-operation and patience.
