A487 crash in Ceredigion leaves one dead and two injured

One person has died and two others have been taken to hospital after a three-car crash in Ceredigion.

Emergency services were called to the A487 between Llanrhystud and Llanon at about 08:45 GMT on Monday.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said two "walking wounded" patients were taken to Bronglais Hospital. Two fire crews from Aberystwyth and Aberaeron are still at the scene.

Police said the road would be shut for several hours with diversions in place.
