Four injured after motorbikes and cars crash near Llandinam

Four people are in stable conditions in hospital after a crash involving four motorbikes and two cars in Powys.

The incident blocked the A470 near Llandinam for six hours from 13:00 BST on Sunday.

"Officers are now working to piece together what caused this collision," said Insp Jon Tatton of Dyfed-Powys Police.

The force has asked any witnesses to call Newtown police station on 101.

Two of the casualties were airlifted to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital by air ambulance.

"I would ask anyone who was travelling along this road at the time and has information which might help to please get in touch," said Insp Tatton.
