A man whose body was recovered from a mid Wales lake has been named.

Benjamin Morgan, 26, from Penbontrhydybeddau in Aberystwyth, was seen going into Llyn Syfydrin, in Ceredigion, on Monday at about 16:00 BST.

His body was pulled from the lake on Tuesday.

Coroner Peter Brunton opened and adjourned an investigation into Mr Morgan's death, which is not being treated as suspicious.

An extensive search was carried out after Mr Morgan was reported missing on bank holiday Monday.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the man's next of kin had been told and were being supported by specialist officers.
