Body found in Tregaron after missing woman search

Police searching for a woman who went missing from her home in Ceredigion have discovered a body.

Gemma Davies, 63, from Tregaron, was reported missing on Thursday night after a visit to her home by a family member.

Dyfed-Powys Police had appealed to the public to come forward with any information as concern for her welfare increased.

The family are being kept informed.

Chief Inspector Ian Thomas said she had not been seen for a number of days before being reported missing.

"The body of a female has been discovered in the Tregaron area. The body has not been formally identified as yet," a police spokesman said.
