Knighton car crash: Police appeal after woman dies

Police are appealing for information after a woman was killed in a two-vehicle road crash in Powys.

The incident happened on the A4133 between Knighton and Leintwardine on Tuesday shortly before 10:50 GMT.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the woman, who was driving a Kia Rio car, was airlifted to hospital but died later. A man driving a Citroen van was treated for shock.

The road was shut for around five hours and police are appealing for witnesses.

Anyone who saw the collision or were on A4133 at the time are asked to contact police on 101.
