Medical science body donor memorial at Cardiff University

Up to 50 people donate their bodies to Cardiff University for medical science every year.

A unique artwork honouring those people was unveiled at the university's school of medicine on Friday.

The memorial was created by the artist Tom Philips and includes the inscription: "Alive we thought beyond our lives to give our bodies as a book for you to read".

Dr Tracey Wilkinson, a senior lecturer in biosciences at Cardiff University, spoke to Kayley Thomas on BBC Radio Wales.
