Fatal flat fire cause in Llandysul, Ceredigion, 'not suspicious'

There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the cause of a flat fire in which an elderly resident died, an investigation has found.

Mair Hicks, 79, of Glascoed, Llandysul, was rescued from the property, but died at the scene last Wednesday.

A joint investigation was carried out by Dyfed-Powys Police and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

Mrs Hicks was formally identified by police on Monday.
