Coast rescue near Llangranog for dinghy youngsters

Coastguards have praised a person for raising the alarm after two youngsters got into difficulty in a dinghy off the coast of Ceredigion.

The Newquay inshore lifeboat and a fishing vessel went to the aid of the pair at Ynys Lochtyn near Llangranog.

The fishing boat took them ashore and the lifeboat towed the dinghy back.

A member of the public raised the alarm with Milford Haven coastguards at 1830 BST on Thursday.

"They did exactly the right thing," said a spokesman.

"If you see something that doesn't look right, please call us."
