3 September 2014 Last updated at 10:02 BST

A small touring opera company in mid Wales has recruited the help of the renowned director Sir Jonathan Miller and the impressionist and comedian Rory Bremner to help mark its 25th anniversary.

Bremner, better known for his array of voices of the famous, studied French and German at university and is a keen translator of opera.

He translated Carmen into English for Mid Wales Opera, with the production - directed by Sir Jonathan - opening in Newtown on Wednesday night.

Bremner told BBC Radio Wales' Gareth Lewis he started translating operas 20 years ago and it was relaxation, "like crossword puzzles".
