Royal Welsh Show: Breeder's hopes for Welsh cob

23 July 2014 Last updated at 11:28 BST

The popular Welsh cobs event is the highlight of the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells on Wednesday.

BBC Radio Wales' Gilbert John says some spectators were in their seats in the show ring by the early morning.

As well as breeders with decades of experience, he caught up with Rees Walters, from Caerphilly - only showing horses for three years - as he prepared for the big day.

Rees owns a five year old section D stallion Alltwalis Iago, who came sixth in 2013 but he's hoping to do even better this year.
