English lesson progress 'not good enough' - Estyn

Wales is not doing well enough in improving standards in English lessons, according to the schools' watchdog Estyn.

The inspection body says despite the majority of pupils aged seven to 14 achieving good standards in English, pupils in Wales continue to lag behind the rest of the UK.
